MEET THE ARTIST

KYNTHEA

“In my early twenties, I began pondering what happens when art becomes more than an image — when it becomes a doorway into other layers of reality.”

Rich color, living texture, and energy in motion have become my way of exploring that doorway — inviting beauty, resonance, and remembrance into the spaces we live in.

"My art is not decorative. It is a mirror, a threshold, a question — inviting you to remember something within yourself."

The art began long before the canvas.

My work has always grown from a search for what lies beyond the visible—from early encounters with art, sacred form, and mystery to the experiences that shaped the artist I became.

This video shares the journey behind the paintings: the moments of recognition, discovery, and inner transformation that continue to guide my creative life.

To live with my art is to enter that journey in your own way. Each work is created as more than an object of beauty—it is a mirror, a threshold, an invitation to encounter something within yourself that may be difficult to name, yet deeply familiar.

“Each piece is an invitation to journey inward and awaken the senses.”

A threshold to the extraordinary in the everyday..

“My collectors become part of the creative journey. When a work enters your space, it continues to unfold—awakening something deeply personal, revealing more of itself over time, and becoming part of the life lived around you.” —Kynthea

COLLECTOR REVIEWS

“I HAVE LIVED WITH IT FOR FIFTY YEARS, AND I STILL LOOK AT IT ALMOST EVERY DAY.”

“This has truly become one of the most important works of art I own. I love it from the bottom of my heart. It is so rich, so layered, that I can spend half an hour talking about what’s in it, and then people begin to see all the things Kynthea has placed there. I built a large home, and I created a special architectural setting for this painting within the structure of the house. I have lived with it for fifty years, and I still look at it almost every day. Over the years, guests at my gatherings are continually drawn to it, and it has sparked conversation time and time again. It is truly a beautiful piece of work.”

“IT REALLY SPEAKS TO ME.”

"This Lemurian Goddess artwork really grabbed my attention the very first time I saw it. There is something extremely accurate here, where Kynthia seems to have looked right into the eyes of history and has captured it all! It really speaks to me."

— Lee Carroll, Kryon Channeler and
Co-Author of The Indigo Children

“HER WORK IS ALWAYS RELATED TO MATTERS OF THE SOUL AND THE HEART.”

“Kynthea is working along a range that is both deep and wide. She creates what is known as Visionary Surrealism, in which spontaneous, imaginary, or improbable images express a spiritual nature—often along positive, even sacred lines. Her work is always related to matters of the soul and the heart.”

— Michael Bell, Former Curator, Oakland Museum; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and San Francisco Arts Commission

"The longer I live with these works, the more they reveal to me."

Winged Gaia Emerging and Solaria have been cherished presences in my home for many years. I feel a deep connection to the figures and energies within them—they seem gentle, protective, and filled with quiet wisdom. The longer I live with these works, the more they reveal to me. Together, they bring a sense of peace, beauty, and spiritual companionship into my life, and I treasure them deeply.

— Laverne Wellens | Art Collector

“HER ART FEELS LESS LIKE PAINT AND MORE LIKE A GATEWAY.”

“I had the privilege of featuring Kynthea’s work at Still Point Gallery in Martinez, and I was continually amazed by the way people connected with her paintings.

Kynthea’s art is far more than a beautiful image on a wall. Every glance reveals new layers—subtle details, emotions, and archetypal qualities that seem to reveal themselves slowly over time. Her paintings create a sense of stillness, inviting you to pause, look deeper, and experience something beyond the surface.

I am also fortunate to live with Crown of the Infinite in my own home. It continues to bring me joy and discovery each time I look at it. The painting has a presence that feels both expansive and intimate, and I love how it continues to reveal new impressions and feelings over time.

What I have always loved about Kynthea’s work is its ability to feel both timeless and deeply personal. It does not simply decorate a space—it transforms the feeling of a space and opens a doorway to something profound.”

— Tuesday, Former Owner, Still Point Gallery, Martinez, California

“EVERY TIME I REARRANGE THEM,
I SEE THEM AGAIN.”

These two paintings by Kynthea are rich in texture, yet open, luminous, and wonderfully versatile. I can reverse them, turn them, or combine them in different ways, and each arrangement creates an entirely new visual conversation. As a designer, I value art that transforms a space; personally, I love that these works never become static or familiar. They remain fresh, expressive, and endlessly engaging.”

THE PROCESS

The story begins before the shutter ever opens.

If you’re a collector, you know it’s the smallest details that stay with you — a shadow across a wall, the texture of stone, the stillness of dawn. That’s where my process begins: with patience, waiting for light, emotion, and space to align.

Every composition I create is deliberate, a balance of form and feeling. I don’t make pieces to simply decorate; I make them to invite reflection and connection. When you live with my work, it becomes more than an image — it becomes an experience, resonating daily and revealing the beauty hidden in the everyday.

Great photography doesn’t just fill a wall

it changes the way a room feels.
